Lisa Hill

Lisa is a fine artist, educator, and award-winning graphic designer.

Her fine art is represented nationally in many private collections and has appeared in numerous museum and gallery shows and invitationals. Commissions and exhibitions have taken place at the Everhart Museum, Memorial Sloan Kettering, INOVA Hospital, Temple Sinai, the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, ArtPrize, St. John's College Mitchell Gallery, Corcoran Hemicycle Gallery, Adkins Arboretum, and Pyramid Atlantic, among others.

She is a Professor Emeritus at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), the second-largest community college in the United States with a diverse student population representing more than 150 nationalities. Lisa has also taught at Johns Hopkins University and the Corcoran College of Art + Design as an adjunct faculty member.

Her work as an educator has been enriched by international collaborations and cultural exchanges with students and educators in Scotland, Chile, South Korea, China, Morocco, and Belarus. These experiences have created opportunities to share perspectives, explore cultural traditions, and build meaningful connections across borders, while fostering curiosity, empathy, and a deeper understanding of our shared global community.

She was received an honorary grant from the Arts Council of Montgomery County, Maryland and served on the Board of Directors for Art & Remembrance, a non-profit organization created to foster greater understanding of the Holocaust and other acts of social injustice through art, education, and cultural activities.

She received her B.A. in Fine Arts / Graphic Design from the University of Florida and her M.F.A. in Studio Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

Lisa lives and works in the Washington, DC metro area.
